To maximize your chance of getting through, you need to send short frames, so I thought it was worth pointing out a feature of UI-View that some users may have missed:- If you leave your latitude and longitude blank in Station Setup, but put a grid square enclosed in "[]" and optional comment in the Beacon comment field, then UI-View will send that as your posit. It's short, it contains no unnecessary information, and it's meaningful to non-APRS users. So for digipeating via ISS in its current state, something like this should work well:- Latitude: Longitude: Unproto address: CQ,NOCALL Beacon comment: [IO92XX] Boston UK UI-View Tag: not checked I would recommend sending the posit manually by pressing F9 rather than sending it on the timer. -- Roger Barker, G4IDE - roger@peaksys.co.uk For UI-View go to - http://www.packetradio.org.uk For WinPack go to - http://www.peaksys.co.uk
