The 24th of
October was the 100 anniversary of Military Communications in Canada. the first organized group to make use of the Museum was the Radio Club (67 persons) who attended the breakfast at the Museum on 25 October 2003. Dave Lawrence, VA3ORP, opened the breakfast with a brief rundown on the Museum and then after the KARC President Roy's, VE3VJF, remarks breakfast was served by Harvest Catering. After breakfast guided and self guided tours took place. Our thanks to Jack and his Museum Staff for allowing us and opening the Mercury Shop. Thanks to all those Amateurs from all the surrounding clubs who attended and Thanks to Terry, VA3TRM, and Les, VE3KFS for the organizational aspects! |
