| The Kingston Amateur Radio Club participated in Jamboree On
The Air at the Voyageur Region Green Wing Conservation Camp using the
call VE3SFD (Loyalist District, Voyageur Region, Scouts Canada) Station Location: Morrison Island, 44 57 92 N - 75 00 43 W Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary near Morrisburg, Ontario, Canadian Islands on the Air (C.I.S.A.) - ON078 Station: QSL via VA3KGB (VE3SFD sponsor) HF, VHF Voice and APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System), IRLP (Internet Radio Linking Project), SSTV (Slow Scan Television) Receive only, 10/15/20m tribander, 40/80m dipole, 10/15/20/40m vertical, 2m ground planes and 2m j-pole. We received almost continuous SSTV during Saturday, unfortunately the program did not switch to 256 history mode therefore we lost the excellent CQ JOTA SSTV pictures and others that we had hoped to display here. On Sunday during teardown, Doug's crew had to let the antenna array
drop with the result of three broken elements on the beam. |
