This is a transcript of the Repeater Maintenance Log for
the year 1986.
The only editorial changes made during the transcription is that
I've added VE to the callsigns which in
most cases were logged
as 3xxx since at the time only VE3 calls were issued.

VE3NB took over the license - from VE3CPK. VE3LXA will maintain rptr. |
VE3LXA & VE3NB put in pre-amp & OK. Has some gain. Turned antenna from W.SW to N.NW ( this puts BLVL & GAN on sides & high gain to Verona area, & low gain to Wolfe Island. |
Routine visit - checked antenna etc. Took black box home with patch cords, meter etc to clean it out & restock. |

350P - Checked rptr due to 0ff air evening of 20 July probably due to storm interuptions AC power. N.T.F. |
VE3NB |

215P - 3P - George VE3LXA & Bernie VE3NB looking for intermittent trouble. N.T.F. checked output of TX 5 TO 6 watts. Connected iD control to provide beacon to prove whether the RX or TX is at fault. |
4PM unable to access rptr TX OK. Tested unit with VE3UG & OK with preamp out of cct but lots of X mod. Put pre-amp in % trouble cleared - tightened all mounting screws and moved cables around but couldn't bring trouble on. (We now have a regular Heath S meter for receiver) |

5PM Trouble back on - there was some noise when ant coil in receiver moved - but found that trouble was in C.O.R. - voltages OK going in from RX but no ground to TX RPTR ID BEACON DISCONNECTED |

1015am RPTR back in service - tested unit with VE3VG & VE3IVX Trouble was cross under COR cct board between pins 10 & 11 on 556 timer ( must have been close since built and a vibration could bring it on). Made a "S" meter for RX but do not leave in cct as it causes feed back. |

Set TX on freq - was off by 2KHZ. Pre-amp off freq causing - low gain & intermod also intermittent in RX. Took RX out of service. Loose can T106 in RX - repaired. |
