REPEATER MAINTENANCE LOG
1999

This is a transcript of the Repeater Maintenance Log for the year 1999.
The only editorial changes made during the transcription is that
I've added VE to the callsigns which in most cases were logged
as 3xxx since at the time only VE3 calls were issued.
Comments in RED added during transcription for clarification

DATE ACTION BY WHOM

Repeater locking up on TX occasionally. Appears to be heat related.

Repeater locked on solid TX - unable to remotely turn off Transmitter - can not tell if Receiver/Controller accepting codes or not. Installed backup repeater - no voice ID. Transmitter was on for approx 16 hours solid - heat sink barely warm!!
Problem was caused by plastic housing of relay warping - caused TX to remain on.  Relay replaced and firmware upgraded.  Tom
