Jan - June John, VA3GST, has designed and built a prototype remote controller which will allow the turning on/off of the power to the repeater in case of  lock-up and no response to control inputs. This controller uses a separate receiver and coded DTMF tones. VA3GST
June 2000

Doug, VE3FFR, is testing a radio/TNC combination for use as an APRS IGATE radio link with the APRS IGATE Server. Chip, VA3KGB, is preparing a computer with Linux, to act as the APRS IGATE Server.

13 June There is a noise appearing on the repeater transmissions intermittently sounding like arc welding. VA3KGB
15 June The 'arc welding' sound is progressively louder as the day wears on. It is also interfering with other services at the site. VA3KGB
19 June The 'arc welding' sound has disappeared. Cause/Solution unknown. VA3KGB
