 This is a transcript of the Repeater Maintenance Log for the year 1988.
The only editorial changes made during the transcription is that
I've added VE to the callsigns which in most cases were logged
as 3xxx since at the time only VE3 calls were issued.
Comments in RED added during transcription for clarification

 - A day in history!

The link is finally active. First contact made with VE3CAB Terry Darling in Toronto at 1630 hrs local time. Thanks to VE3MVV and VE3LCC for their help up the tower in Rice Lake.

Replaced timing capacitor in 2m coil circuit to give about 3/4 second tail

Relocated 220 link antenna away from 2 meter antenna. Path now good.

1600 - Retuned cavities, pre-amp and Rx. Re-netted TX and Rx. Adjusted timing on link program. All OK

Replaced ECG452 in receiver preamp circuit.

Spare repeater placed in service. Old #1 taken out for repair. Poor sensitivity, selectivity and intermod problems. Bench aligned Rx. Sensitivity 12DB Sinad @ 5.5 uv. Re-installed. Pre-amp peaked on bench at same time.
