| (The rotor on the tri-band beam would cause noise to the repeater when the wind made the beam move. This was because of the poor ground circuit through the rotor. John VE3JCQ put a strap from the tower to the pipe holding the repeater antenna which solved the noise problem.) (RAC HQ had a metal roof, with the tower alongside the building, with tri-band beam, and the HF vetical and 2M repeater antennae mounted to vent pipes going through roof. - Chip, VA3KGB) |
