1230 noon - checked level of X mod on S meter - generally 1/2 scale appears to be little less with new pre amp (sensitivity of repeater is good or better than standby repeater)

Tightened up squelch just a "pinch" to reduce noise on tail

VE3NB

14 Feb 87

1100. high white noise coming in antenna - (1 unit on 0-5 scale of limiter current). Reduced sensitivity slightly again on squelch control to give a "quiet tail".

Sunday 8 Mar 87

Set squelch control back to normal positions (and could hear a Peterbourough station coming thru). No external noise on limiter current.
X mod has been fixed for about a week or so. Defective antenna on our TX, and removed house TV ant from Regent Towers on Park St - says Paul Cook D.O.C.

Sun 24 May

1630 hours. came back with SWR bridge - TX output shows 1.8/1. (same as calculated from earlier readings). SWR at antenna connection to duplexer is 1.5/1. What is the problem?

VE3NB

Monday 25 May 1986

Checked front to back pwr. with calibrated Bird 43 wattmeter. Into duplexer 10W FWD/.1 rev

Shook antenna and cables : no change SWR into cavity works out to 1.8/1 as calculated by VE3NB.
Looks like cavity needs alignment.

Rechecked duplexer Slightly less SWR 10W FD/.4W back. on TX. This is 1.5/1. RX 7.6W up .4 back. transmitting 146.34 thru cavities to antenna. Output of duplexer at .340 = 4.2W fwd and .1W back. SWR 1.65/1 Will write to Sinclair re SWR.

1 July 87

11am check SWR at antenna 5Wup - 0 back. from duplexer checked SWR at TX out into duplexer 6.2W UP .6W back = 1.9 TO 1. Antenna alone 8.2 UP .05 back.

4 July 87

1:30 PM Checked TX & Duplexer with Heath "Cantenna" 50W load and figures agree with previous tests.
Put in regular repeater 6W out to antenna 0 back. At output of TX into duplexer 8.2W .8 back.
Still high SWR at input to duplexer. Repeater RX pre-amp.

Removed VE3KER identifier to fix amp cct - to use for ID on 440.300 with a 2 min beacon for test purposes at this time.
5PM I.D. back on rptr & level set
* ID now going out on 443.300 every 2 mins.

6.30P Tightened up repeater squelch due to high white noise coming in from?  loosened C.O.R. sensitivity a little and peaked pre-amp.

 *Note

4443.3 MHZ rig went out of of service due to final blowing out. removed ant etc on 17 Aug - too bad.
